The Hungry Earth - The Jones Review

Part 1, Part, 1, Part 1.

I should probably reserve judgment until when the denouement is delivered. But so far so good.

Good including, "It doesn't work on wood, that's rubbish" and the oddity of the ground and saving the planet via meals on wheels.

The bad is only one thing. Why is that a singular response to this from a mining engineer is, even as an option considering that no one near him was up to performing a reasonably effective one, was a DISSECTION a suggestion? Seems a bit too convenient.

The Silurians are back and the fan boy whine (or was it Liz?) that Silurian was a inappropriate epoch to name them, is addressed soon and the green make up and scales just aren't as menacing as the old rubber suits in black and white. Maybe they look too much like that girl with the silly verbal tic in love with Derek Jacobi's Master.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Part 2, Part 2, Part 2 awaits.
